If something isn't covered here, just email us — we'll answer directly and probably add it to this page.
Every email your missionary sends to their Mission Bridge Archive address, along with any photos and voice memos attached directly to that email.
We can't capture Google Drive or Google Photos links — if a missionary shares a link instead of attaching a file directly, we flag it on the dashboard so your family knows something didn't come through, instead of silently losing it. Very large emails (lots of high-resolution photos at once) may also not go through, so we recommend a handful of regular photos per email.
Not at all — most families sign up mid-mission, not on day one. From the moment you sign up, everything they email home is saved automatically, and for most missions that's still the majority of the time they have left.
To be upfront: emails they already sent before you signed up aren't pulled in automatically. But if you can find them in your own inbox, just forward them to your archive address and we'll add them in too. Photos are the real risk (they usually never get emailed home), and our Photo Save Guide (included free with the Bridge) walks you through recovering those too, whether you're just starting or your missionary comes home in a few weeks.
No. We give you a dedicated email address to add to the same distribution list your missionary already emails home to — it works exactly like adding one more recipient. They keep sending their normal weekly update exactly like before. No app to download, no new habit to remember mid-mission.
Mission Bridge Archive never contacts the mission or the mission-issued account directly, and it doesn't change anything about how your missionary emails home. It simply receives a copy of the same email your missionary is already sending to their normal distribution list — the same as if you'd added one more family member's address to that list.
Just email us and we'll update it on your account so nothing sent from the new address gets missed.
Only people you share the private dashboard link with. There's no password to remember or reset — but that also means anyone who has the link can view it, so treat it like you would any private family link and don't post it publicly. See our Security & Privacy page for the full details.
Not automatically, ever. Nothing is deleted on a timer or by default. The only way anything is permanently removed is through our end-of-mission checklist, which you go through yourself once your missionary is home — and even then, it walks you through actually confirming your photos and emails are saved on your own end first, before deletion is ever an option. Nothing disappears without you deliberately confirming you're ready for it to.
One ZIP file, straight from your dashboard, no size surprises to worry about ahead of time. Inside, you'll find a single text file with every email in order, plus every photo and voice memo as its own separate file. You can also download just the photos or just the emails if that's all you need. It's yours to keep, print from, or drop into any photo book service you like.
Right now, yes — Mission Bridge Archive is built specifically around how LDS missions work: the email cadence, the account structure, and the timing of when accounts get wiped after a mission ends. It isn't built for other missionary or volunteer programs yet.
